The Connaught, the legendary Mayfair hotel on Carlos Place, has launched ‘The Connaught Suite Collection’ as part of its recently restored suites and rooms program.
The five star fully butler serviced hotel is now offering a carefully curated range of in-suite experiences that reflect the elevated art of fine living ‘Connaught style’. From chilled martinis mixed directly from The Connaught Bar (voted best bar in the world) to delectable cakes from master Pâtissier Nicolas Rouzaud to bespoke in suite massages from the magical hands of the Aman Spa wellness team. Extra detailed suite touches even include the ultimate shoeshine service from renowned shoemakers John Lobb (shining shoes since 1866).
Suite guests can now also access The Connaught Cinematic Collection of films edited by the British Film Institute. These films all feature iconic Hollywood stars and longstanding guests of the hotel, from Lauren Bacall (To Have and Have Not) to Alfred Hitchcock (The 39 Steps), from Vivien Leigh (A Streetcar Named Desire) to Jack Nicholson (Chinatown) and Grace Kelly (Rear Window) to Warren Beatty (Bonnie and Clyde) - highlighting their enduring appeal and much like The Connaught, forever in fashion.
Commenting on the launch of The Connaught Suite Collection, General Manager Sandeep Bhalla said “We have such a rich choice of wonderful experiences on offer at The Connaught, it felt only right that for the first time, we can now offer them to our guests in the privacy of their elegant suites. We can even provide our own Connaught Concert Pianist to play should the mood call for it!”
The recent room and suite restoration at The Connaught was spearheaded by lead designer Guy Oliver, as well as architect Michael Blair and David Collins Studio who helped create the 34 highly individual suites. From the Terrace Suite, a contemporary hideaway with its own terrace overlooking the rooftops of Mayfair, to the sophisticated Library Suite, to the elegant classicism of the Sutherland Suite complete with grand piano, and of course the notable King’s Lodge and Prince’s Lodge, brought to life by the skilled artisans of the Turquoise Mountain Foundation.
The Connaught is rich in distinguished culinary heritage. Home to three Michelin starred Hélène Darroze at The Connaught, The Connaught Bar, twice voted Best in the world, global super chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s eponymous restaurant and The Connaught Grill remodelled by renowned woodworker Mira Nakashima. In addition, the hotel includes The Coburg Bar with its exclusive whisky selection, The Connaught Cigar Merchants and the recently renamed Nicolas Rouzaud at The Connaught home to the finest patisserie in town.
